Are summer classes on a college transcript looked down upon?

Regardless of your grades (unless you failed the class) they are always seen in a positive light. It shows that the student has a desire for intellectual pursuit when most students would rather go home/chill/work, etc. I'm assuming you're applying to grad school since you are talking about your college transcript and not your high school. Therefore, no. It doesn't make a big difference. Just make sure you do well on your graduate examinations and get good recommendations. Are summer classes on a college transcript looked down upon?
Why would they be? Unless you failed or something there's no reason for it to be a problem. I mean, consider this -- if you're taking a college course over the summer, you're doing the same work in a month or two that someone taking the class in the spring or fall would have had 14 weeks to do.
