You are thinking way ahead. You have to write it and get it published first. In answer to your question, if you get it published traditionally, it would look great on a resume. If you self publish it, it wouldn't make a bit of difference. Anybody can self publish anything they want as long as the check clears. I could self publish the Chinatown Phone Book but it wouldn't make me an author. Self publishing doesn't count as writing credits. Yes, it would look really good. It's hard to get publisher's to look at your work (hard, but nowhere near impossible) at your age, but once you do, if it's any good at all you'll see quick results, and once you get one book published, if you continue writing it will be much easier to get the next one's published. And don't let anyone talk you out of it in any way, especially by using your age as a reason. Not to sound like a parent, as I'm only 15 myself, but teen years are really hard and usually depressing, moreso if you don't have a goal. Having your books will give you a distraction, a goal, and make your college years much easier. So yes, it will look very good on a college transcript, and make things easier for you. I hope this helps you a lot. Transcript question----I might kill my self if it isn't answered lol but plz answer?
During my first semester I took this class and received a D in the course. If I were to retake it, will it replace the grade on my transcript? Or will it show that I took the course twice. Also how are withdraws treated on the transcript? Last semester I withdrawn from a class and I'm projecting I will retake it in the summer, will it show that I withdrawn from it or it will be replaced by the new course?

To the best of my knowledge it will be on your transcript. If you retake a course it will show both grades, and withdrawals will be shown even if you retake those as well.
Sorry to tell you the bad news. But, I'm not sure if transcript policy is the same everywhere - but I would think there would be some continuity.
The best thing you can do is withdraw very early if you're struggling with a course - as may universities indicate if you have withdrawn early or late, and a late withdrawal implies that you were failing the course. Also, have an appropriate explanation for the future - you may well get asked why you withdrew but if you can back it up with a good reason it shouldn't be a problem.
Also, withdrawn and even failed courses will not usually affect your degree average.

Do i need to send transcript to new community college?
i did horrible my first year and a half in the community college that i attended. i want a ';fresh start'; so i am going to attend a new community college, set my priorities, and do a lot better than i have done. however, MUST i send in the transcripts? i feel that even though it's a community college, they will be hesitant to admit me. I don't mind doing everything over, but I really don't want to be rejected.

i don't think you can go straight from high school to nursing school. colleges generally require some sort of bridger between the two.
anyway, i graduated 14th out of 560 people in my high school, GPA was around 4.6, 4.7, highest SAT was 1480. took the new one as well, and adding that to the old SAT, it was 2110, i think. i made a 203 on PSATs, volunteered at a nursing home, a daycare center, performed in school musicals, was assistant concertmaster in school orchestra, made all A's my senior year. i was a member of National honor society, key club, and medical club. i took 6 APs during my high school career and entered college with 18 credit hours as a freshman. i worked at two restaurants.... can't think of any more.How was your high school transcript?
My wife has been a nurse (RN) for 6 years. She graduated from one of the top nursing schools in the country (in Texas). She scored well on her SATs (early 1990s version) in reading comprehension, but has always found great difficulty with math. She was a cheerleader in high school, was in several drama productions, and volunteered at a nursing home. At this point in the nursing career field, if you have worked hard in high school and have at least a 3.5 GPA, everything else is just whitewash ... you will get in to nursing school. There is a serious shortage of RNs in the US right now, and a shortage of students in nursing programs nationwide. Put your application together and have faith that your desire to serve others will be rewarded.
A word of caution ... nursing is a very challenging and often unsung profession. You work long hours, in stressful environments, and make good money ... but I would argue not the amount that nurses should. The rewards are few and far between, mostly the satisfaction of being one of the few who makes a difference for others.
Find a school that has a good reputation for its core curriculum courses. Typically, you will complete 3 years of undergraduate work before even starting nursing school, and nursing school for someone pursuing a BSN takes 2 years. It is hard. Very hard. The workload is difficult, and the pressure is intense. Nursing school is one of the reasons there is a shortage of nurses in the country right now. My wife was a mess all the way through nursing school, much like I was as I went through my graduate degree. I'm glad you want to be a nurse, I wish more young people did. Prepare yourself mentally for the challenge facing you when you get accepted to a program. I wish you luck.

anyway, i graduated 14th out of 560 people in my high school, GPA was around 4.6, 4.7, highest SAT was 1480. took the new one as well, and adding that to the old SAT, it was 2110, i think. i made a 203 on PSATs, volunteered at a nursing home, a daycare center, performed in school musicals, was assistant concertmaster in school orchestra, made all A's my senior year. i was a member of National honor society, key club, and medical club. i took 6 APs during my high school career and entered college with 18 credit hours as a freshman. i worked at two restaurants.... can't think of any more.How was your high school transcript?

A transcript of what? Normally the right to a transcript are owned by whomever owns the rights to whatever you transcribed. You could try contacting that person or organization to see if they will arrange publication.

Buy some ribbon, sealing wax and a nice frame and you can hang it on your wall. Most people just frame the diploma and don't bother defacing it with the wax. Library glue might do a neater job, actually.

Do you know if the school is still around? You should be able to search for it by going to the website of the school system (by county) that you graduated from. On the site there they should have a list of all High Schools in the system, along with their contact information.

Talk to some (successful) upperclassmen. They'll tell you the same. So will most of your (good) professors.
I have never had cause to regret dropping a class, I have Bitterly regretted not doing so.

I am aware that most student loans require you to pay it back 6 months after you graduate college. So If you graduate in June you start paying back in December. But if you are being enrolled for grad school in September the loans would be payed back after you graduate grad school. Hope that helps

well i would say stick with the school your in b/c my one friend was a junior he moved from florida 2 ohio and he had already passed spanish 2 and they lost his transcript an put him in spanish 1. and my other friend moved to a differnt skool then moved back and they lost here transcript from the other and she fail spanish b/c she didnt have a grade 4 tha 2nd term. but really it's up to u

depends. if you got mostly A and B's on your transcript, with 3 W's, i would not be worried. But if either youre a C or D student WITH alot of W, or an average B student with alot of W's, then i should be worried. AP CHEM is kinda hard. i took that junior year so that i would work hard and do well. AP BIO is a little easier so i'm taking that right now as a senior. I recommend taking AP CHEM as a junior because its more actually studying and work. AP BIO is more busy work and reading the textbook, which is a little less work than AP CHEM. It doesn't matter when you take them, colleges only care about you grade in the class, and your AP score if you take the test (4-5 is what they want to see).

These are considered ';upper division classes'; and the 500 level courses are courses open to both undergrads and grad students. The lowest grade I've gotten in a 400/500 level course was a B. Transferring colleges is absolutely fine just make sure the school you transfer into is REGIONALLY accredited. (this is the highest accreditationa school can have). Hope this helps!

The best way to handle that situation is to own it. First of all, it is very easy for a college to track down any other college you attended. Often your high school puts it right on your high school transcript where it has sent transcripts, so another school will see it on there. If you rec'd financial aid, they will see your trail from any previous financial aid awarded.
Don't try and hide any previous studies, it will bite you in the butt. Just cop to it when you apply and include a separate letter with your application saying you did not do well and you would like to try again. Don't make excuses about why you didn't do well, but if you have now matured and can say something like'; I thought I was prepared to attend college, but I was not. I had poor time managment skills and I spent too much time socializing. I now know how to balance my studies with a social life and working and my priority is doing well if given another chance.';
It is not uncommon to flounder a little bit--just do better next time, vow to take advantage of the college tutoring resources and help that is available to all college students.

You must provide the school to which you transfer with all of your transcripts but they may choose not to give you credit for the courses you have taken with poor grades.

You must provide the school to which you transfer with all of your transcripts but they may choose not to give you credit for the courses you have taken with poor grades.

Just think how smart you will be to take those classes over at your current college. Don't run away from your problems face them head on , sometimes in life we have to do things more than once to get it right. Learn from your mistakes and study harder make the necessary changes in your personal life so that your school life is the priority.
no..schools will not let you in without all transcripts . If you stay out 10 years and go back, none of your classes you took matter...you start all over. You can try but if you got aid at all at the first school, they will find out..they compare.

This first link is to the Bristol Probate and Family Court. This is the closest thing I could get to as far as a civil courthouse. So good luck there. Try calling the numbers provided. They may or may not be at liberty to divulge the information. I dunno.

I took a class in Fall 2007 and I dropped it. The ';W'; now shows on my transcript, however I am currently retaking the class.
