Am I required to send my High School Transcript while applying to a UC or Cal State?

You are NOT required to submit your high school transcript when you APPLY. The admission decisions made by the UCs and CSUs are based on your self reported coursework and grades. You are only required to submit your high school transcript to the campus that has accepted you and to which you intend to enroll so the campus can verify your school records against your application.

UC information on submitting transcripts:

Freshman Applicants

If you are admitted, you must arrange to have an official, final high school transcript (showing your date of graduation) sent to the campus where you plan to enroll. Unless a campus requests it, do not send a sixth- or seventh-semester transcript.

CSU information on submitting transcripts:

In addition to the application, what other documents will I need to provide?

The campus to which you are applying will provide information about when to submit your official high school transcript. Transcripts must be received in sealed envelopes directly from the high school from which you graduated.

yes!Am I required to send my High School Transcript while applying to a UC or Cal State?
Yes you do.....
Get it straight... you need to send in a transcript for EVERY institution that you apply to. How else are they supposed to know your grades? From high school onwards, there will always be a record of your academic performance in the form of a transcript.
