You are thinking way ahead. You have to write it and get it published first. In answer to your question, if you get it published traditionally, it would look great on a resume. If you self publish it, it wouldn't make a bit of difference. Anybody can self publish anything they want as long as the check clears. I could self publish the Chinatown Phone Book but it wouldn't make me an author. Self publishing doesn't count as writing credits. Pax-CIf i write a book and somehow get it published (im 14) would that look good on anything, college transcript?
Yes, it would look really good. It's hard to get publisher's to look at your work (hard, but nowhere near impossible) at your age, but once you do, if it's any good at all you'll see quick results, and once you get one book published, if you continue writing it will be much easier to get the next one's published. And don't let anyone talk you out of it in any way, especially by using your age as a reason. Not to sound like a parent, as I'm only 15 myself, but teen years are really hard and usually depressing, moreso if you don't have a goal. Having your books will give you a distraction, a goal, and make your college years much easier. So yes, it will look very good on a college transcript, and make things easier for you. I hope this helps you a lot. I;m currently writing a book, and I know I feel when people laugh at me for it, so don't let what other people think affect you.If i write a book and somehow get it published (im 14) would that look good on anything, college transcript?
If you write a book that is good enough to get published, you had better be going for more than it just looking good for colleges!
I'm a teenage writer, too. If you want some help go to my website:
http://youthwritersclub.jimdo.com
ya it would look great for college and it would open so many doors but becareful it could open a huge door that you may not want to open yet. i am not saying not to write and publish a book thats a great idea but youll be expected to write more if the book is good. but anyway it would look great for college if you publish a book at the age of 14 ( ps im 14 also i only know this because my sister is in college and taken a class about publishing books )

Transcript question----I might kill my self if it isn't answered lol but plz answer?
During my first semester I took this class and received a D in the course. If I were to retake it, will it replace the grade on my transcript? Or will it show that I took the course twice. Also how are withdraws treated on the transcript? Last semester I withdrawn from a class and I'm projecting I will retake it in the summer, will it show that I withdrawn from it or it will be replaced by the new course?
Are transcript policy's the same everywhere?Transcript question----I might kill my self if it isn't answered lol but plz answer?
To the best of my knowledge it will be on your transcript. If you retake a course it will show both grades, and withdrawals will be shown even if you retake those as well.
Sorry to tell you the bad news. But, I'm not sure if transcript policy is the same everywhere - but I would think there would be some continuity.
The best thing you can do is withdraw very early if you're struggling with a course - as may universities indicate if you have withdrawn early or late, and a late withdrawal implies that you were failing the course. Also, have an appropriate explanation for the future - you may well get asked why you withdrew but if you can back it up with a good reason it shouldn't be a problem.
Also, withdrawn and even failed courses will not usually affect your degree average.
Hope this helps - try not to stress to much. =)Transcript question----I might kill my self if it isn't answered lol but plz answer?
Dont kill yourself over this simple problem.
If you retake a course your highest grade is the one that will stay.
%26amp; as far as withdraws go just retake the course and you will be fine.
It will not show that you received a D nor will it show that you replaced the new course on your transcript. Oh and to my knowledge that policy is the same from most places.
Ok to keep you alive, I have no clue. But, if bost listings stay, its not bad, to me anyhow, it shows, that you didnt give up and redid it to pass it, shows you cared enough to learn, and since there were two episodes, a family issue (yes being lazy, or working too much, loss of interest, bad teacher) just group any reason into personal situation as the reason why if anyone was to ask! Ok, so now u have my opionion, I hope someone gives you a real answer, can I go back to watching tv now please, lolguy myspace

Do i need to send transcript to new community college?
i did horrible my first year and a half in the community college that i attended. i want a ';fresh start'; so i am going to attend a new community college, set my priorities, and do a lot better than i have done. however, MUST i send in the transcripts? i feel that even though it's a community college, they will be hesitant to admit me. I don't mind doing everything over, but I really don't want to be rejected.
I'm in Southern California, btwDo i need to send transcript to new community college?
If the school requires it for admission. then yes, however explain what you have said here. That can make an impact.
Otherwise, no.
Good luck.Do i need to send transcript to new community college?
If you want the credits that you paid for to transfer so that you do not repeat those classes.
But I guess you can start over.
Good luck
no you don't have to unless there are credits you want to transfer over.
I can't believe they would not admit you based on bad grades. After all, you are a paying student. As long as you pass their entrance exam, what difference does your past college experience mean, unless they have thousands of students on a standby list? Good luck.
Even is u did terrible, its important to get those transcripts and possibly use those credits, you earned them, put them to work for you, good luck.
not unless you want to use those credits
Start over, do better - good luck!!
Happy Holidays!
Every transcript from every college you attended must be provided to every subsequent college you apply to or attend.
If you fail to do so, you will find yourself suspended or expelled or worse for defrauding the school to which you are applying, even if you eventually do better.
There are no ';do overs'; or ';fresh starts'; like you describe for adults. Sorry, that went out with childhood.
Period.
Even in southern California.

Transcript request: what is ';hold for current term'; or ';hold for degree';?
A transcript request form at a college has two selections:
';hold for degree'; and ';hold for current term';.
What does each mean?Transcript request: what is ';hold for current term'; or ';hold for degree';?
';Hold for current term'; means that you want the Registrar's Office to process your transcript after the grades from the most current term are posted on your transcript. If you attended the Fall term, you might want to select this choice if you want your transcript to be sent after your grades are posted. Keep in mind that if you request to wait until your term grades are posted, it may take an additional 2 weeks to process your request. It really depends on how long it takes the Registrar's Office to process final grades.
';Hold for degree'; means that you want your transcript to be sent after your degree is posted to your transcript. If you are graduating at the end of this term, select this choice to ensure that your degree is reflected on your transcript. Keep in mind that if you wait until your degree is posted, it may take 1-2 months to process your request. Normally the conferral of degrees are a manual process and it may take some time.
If you need your transcripts to be sent immediately, request for multiple copies. Request for a copy to be sent now and the other copy to be sent after your grades or your degree are posted.
Best wishes!

How was your high school transcript?
what was your high school transcript when you applied for nursing school in college? Did you get accepted if so to what school Please tell me your SAT score, GPA, class rank, extracurricular activities. I really want to go to this nursing school at my dream school, and I want to know if I am academically competitive. How was your high school transcript?
i don't think you can go straight from high school to nursing school. colleges generally require some sort of bridger between the two.
anyway, i graduated 14th out of 560 people in my high school, GPA was around 4.6, 4.7, highest SAT was 1480. took the new one as well, and adding that to the old SAT, it was 2110, i think. i made a 203 on PSATs, volunteered at a nursing home, a daycare center, performed in school musicals, was assistant concertmaster in school orchestra, made all A's my senior year. i was a member of National honor society, key club, and medical club. i took 6 APs during my high school career and entered college with 18 credit hours as a freshman. i worked at two restaurants.... can't think of any more. How was your high school transcript?
My wife has been a nurse (RN) for 6 years. She graduated from one of the top nursing schools in the country (in Texas). She scored well on her SATs (early 1990s version) in reading comprehension, but has always found great difficulty with math. She was a cheerleader in high school, was in several drama productions, and volunteered at a nursing home. At this point in the nursing career field, if you have worked hard in high school and have at least a 3.5 GPA, everything else is just whitewash ... you will get in to nursing school. There is a serious shortage of RNs in the US right now, and a shortage of students in nursing programs nationwide. Put your application together and have faith that your desire to serve others will be rewarded.
A word of caution ... nursing is a very challenging and often unsung profession. You work long hours, in stressful environments, and make good money ... but I would argue not the amount that nurses should. The rewards are few and far between, mostly the satisfaction of being one of the few who makes a difference for others.
Find a school that has a good reputation for its core curriculum courses. Typically, you will complete 3 years of undergraduate work before even starting nursing school, and nursing school for someone pursuing a BSN takes 2 years. It is hard. Very hard. The workload is difficult, and the pressure is intense. Nursing school is one of the reasons there is a shortage of nurses in the country right now. My wife was a mess all the way through nursing school, much like I was as I went through my graduate degree. I'm glad you want to be a nurse, I wish more young people did. Prepare yourself mentally for the challenge facing you when you get accepted to a program. I wish you luck.

I have just read the transcript of this interview, which I find kind of disturbing. What do you think?
http://www.functionpix.com/index.php/art…
When asked why they decided to leave their three children alone while they went out, Gerry responded boldly to answer the critics who say that three young children should not have been left by themselves. “If you actually look at our own actions and those of the group – the speed of response – Mark Warner, the resort manager was excellent” - It's OK to leave your children alone if the resort is quick to look for them once you realise they're missing?
Kate spoke for the fist time – “I did want to go and look for Maddie myself – and we’ve been working really hard every day...we may not have been physically searching but we have been very busy.';
They say the fund is paying consultants and they refuse to hire private investigators';.
When asked if she thought she’d wandered off “No not at all” said Kate resolutely – “We’re absolutely certain – we double and treble checked'; said Gerry.I have just read the transcript of this interview, which I find kind of disturbing. What do you think?
What a bloody shame !!!! I t almost makes you fell sorry for the negligent pair of wankersI have just read the transcript of this interview, which I find kind of disturbing. What do you think?
I don't normally, in fact never, done this, but. FOR FKS SAKE, THEY'RE UP TO SOMETHING AND LETS HOPE THE KID HAS BEEN 'ABDUCTED' BY BETTER PEOPLE THAN THE PARENTS SHE ONCE HAD. . . .. Yep I hate upper case too, but how else do you shout on here ?
Never mind eh? - ALL will be revealed next Wednesday when they have the meeting with the Pope - and if HE can't fix it, what does THAT say about religion ! ! !
Something very fishy. I find it hard to believe their story. The truth will come out sooner or later.
I also read this article and I got goose bumps. How can he say the 'speed of response - Mark Warner, the resort manager was excellent'. Apparently not excellent enough cause she's still missing. They will never admit they were wrong to leave the kids.....which is sad. Kate's reply 'she did want to go look for Madeleine herself but they've been working really hard', I think that's insane. Your 4 yr old is missing, shouldn't it be priority to search for the missing child? What have they been working really hard at? Keeping the story alive.....don't they have a 'team' that was specially put together? If it were my child missing you bet your life I'd would still be out there physically searching instead of being just busy. They also prefer to pay consultants rather that hire private detectives...which I also think is crazy. Looks like they did not check enough on the kids and they are very lucky to still have the twins.

there behaviour the interviews high tea with the other mums and dads comparing maddie to an overdraught the whole thing is disturbing working really hard i would rather be out there physically searching not having an audience with the pope
i hope i am wrong with a lot of other people, but i didn't like the interview, i think they are very calm something isn't right,i am getting feelings at this moment, it is more to this than we think.
There story is full of holes and lies!
for all those who suspect something is fishy, i.e the parents killed her and said she was abducted, thats madness, the amoutn of proffesionals surrounding them, and not one would have been able to read it on them. besides im 100% sure the parents were given polygraphs
you guys are mad, how is the mother going to search, is she going to go to the park and shout maddy, if she was to walk round the streets handing out fliers she would have newscameras shoved in her face.
how the parents kept busy was turning this into an intrnational phenomenon to find their daughtter, conecting with charities and making the world aware of who her daughter is and how to reconise her, if you ask me they are amazing parents because they have given their daughter a fighting chance to be found.
you see thier nightmare is she would have been brainwashed and a year or 2 down the line look different with a new name living wiht some pedo somewhere being groomed and molested for years, now that carnt happen
and as for the pope, im sorry but thats their religion, they are PRAYING for their daughter, who better to seek spiritual guidance than the top guy who can also pray, they do BELIEVE in god and that its in fates hands. yes they are usign this trip for publicity, but thats just to re-enforce their campaighn to find their daughter. and who knows, maybe the pope wants to meet them in person to be able to justify giving up loads of pedophie preists the church is hidding to maybe find a lead the police need

Did you read the transcript from when John Cena was on Howard Stern or did you see it?
I was surprised when I read that John said he once slept with a 280 pound female, basically because the guy's dared him to, he said the female doesn't have to be skinny, but 280 pounds, lol? I like John, but there are some yucky thing's he said, when he was on the Howard Stern Show, October 13th, 2006.Did you read the transcript from when John Cena was on Howard Stern or did you see it?

I guess that's where his ';Never back down from a challenge'; thing came from! LOL! And the girl above me is right. Big chicks need love too! (WTF?? The girl weighs more than him. LMAO!)
BTW, I read it and I heard the audio. But I never saw it.
Yeah he also said on the Conon O' Brien show that he was dared to drink out of a street puddle in my hometown of Hartford,CT.
Yeah.
He's not a very good guy as everyone perceives him to be.
And yeah, I heard about the puddle thing too roflmao
No, but I did hear about it.
Hey, even the bigger girls need love too, I mean, it's not like you see them when the lights are off anyway. :p
And yeah, that puddle thing is nasty. No telling what kind of parasites and crap were in it.
John Cena is laughing all the way to the bank with his bermuda shorts.
Hadn't heard, but he obviously has no respect for himself or others.

I wish you luck.
i don't think you can go straight from high school to nursing school. colleges generally require some sort of bridger between the two.

Kate spoke for the fist time – “I did want to go and look for Maddie myself – and we’ve been working really hard every day...we may not have been physically searching but we have been very busy.';

I want to listen to American news and read the transcript while listening, where can i find that?
Meet the Press, a weekly interview show with important politicians and newsmakers has transcripts and videos. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8987534/I want to listen to American news and read the transcript while listening, where can i find that?
you can also activate the close captioning feature of your tv while you're watching the news if your tv set and the news program you're watching supports it. that way, you can read and listen at the same time. = )I want to listen to American news and read the transcript while listening, where can i find that?
It's called closed captioned for the hearing impaired. I'm not sure but I think you call the channel you're watching and request it.
the PBS news show has transcripts but its pretty tainted/one sided in their reporting.

Dominque I saw that one too that's just gross!! Something could've pissed in it!Did you read the transcript from when John Cena was on Howard Stern or did you see it?
i was suprised too but it was a dare

After college, does my transcript really matter?
After I graduate from college and have my degree...will my transcipt come back to haunt me so to speak?
When applying for a professional position will I have to present my entire transcript?...or just the Degree.
After college, does my transcript really matter?
A lot of employers actually do want to know your overall college GPA nowadays. Obviously, if you're applying to grad school or anything like that, it matters tremendously.
So yeah, it could potentially come back to 'haunt you'.guy myspace

Why the college wants both H.S. disploma and transcript for admission? isn't diploma enough to prove?
why the college wants both H.S. disploma and transcript for admission? isn't diploma enough to prove that the student already graduated? Why the college wants both H.S. disploma and transcript for admission? isn't diploma enough to prove?
Yes. Your diploma proves that you graduated. And that's all it proves. It doesn't say if you took basket weaving or calculus. It doesn't say if you got all A's or all C's. It doesn't say what kind of student you are. It only means that you met the (very low) requirements for graduation. You have to meet way more than the minimum standards for high school graduation in order to go to college. And you need to be able to prove that you more than meet the minimum standards for high school graduation. One way to do that is with your transcript. Why the college wants both H.S. disploma and transcript for admission? isn't diploma enough to prove?
Yes a diploma is proof enough, but admissions want to see what you did while you were there. College can be a challenge, and top schools accept only top students, who can keep up with the others. The same is true for tier 3 schools. Really, you're applying for college and didn't know this, already? Get help from a professional at your HS who can navigate you through this. Your parents should've educated you on this process many years ago.
Your transcripts shows what classes you took in HS and what your grades were. They need that information along with proof you have a HS diploma.

Is there any way I can find my college transcript if the college doesnt exist?

Can you get into ivy league schools if you have a few Bs on your transcript ?
Yes. It depends on what the rest of your application looks like. But you don't need to have had all As in order to get into Harvard and the like.
Your academic record *does* need to be quite strong. You need to have taken some advanced courses - honors and APs. You'll need to do very well on your SATs. But you can have a few Bs and still get in.

Can an RNA transcript of a single gene contain information for the buildup of multiple proteins? Explain.?
Yes---look up ';alternative splicing'; on Google.
How might I obtain an audio tape/ transcript of an Al Sharpton interview with Oprah on his radio show?
I'd defiantly go to www.youtube.com and do a search. I've found many things there. You'd be surprised. Also a web search might be helpful. Typing in exactly what you're looking for. (tape/ transcript of an Al Sharpton interview with Oprah ). I know that sounds kind of lame but the publicity that made, I'm sure you're going to find it with one search! I know the impact that it made on me if you haven't heard it yet, you're going to love it. Maybe even Oprah's website. www.oprah.com. I know how deeply she felt about the incident, maybe it's there. Good luck.
When I graduate from undergrad, will the school have all my grades(from prior colleges) on my transcript?
Lets say I graduated from an undergraduate college and I request for an official transcript.
